2023
A record breaking warm November made for an interesting hunting season. We watched many up and coming mule deer bucks during our mule deer hunts but struggled to find the older bucks we were interested in. The whitetail and whitetail rut made up for the challenging mule deer hunting with all hunters having opportunities to harvest trophy bucks.
We would like to thank our clients for continuing to allow us to fulfill their deer hunting dreams.
Jackson guided John to this heavy, impressive whitetail. Congratulations John.
Steve is a returning client and a hardcore whitetail hunter. It’s hard not to get excited about whitetails with Steve around.

2022
After a challenging season with early snows, extreme cold and high winds the Mule Deer hunting proved to be challenging.
Congratulations to Marvin on the harvest of his mule deer.
With our higher whitetail population we have had an increase of rutting activity and the whitetail hunting was successful even with the challenging conditions.
Congratulations Steve Congratulations Keenan

ON THE RANCH
We are grateful for the perfect calving weather this year. After the terrible calving weather we have had the last 3 years, it is a treat to calve with little snow and mild temperatures.

2020 HUNTING UPDATE
This year we took the opportunity to hunt for ourselves as the Covid virus shut down our International Borders and we were not able to take Non-resident Aliens. Hunting was difficult as we had deep snow this November and conditions were difficult to get around. On the bright side though, we have had mild temperatures and at this time it bodes well for good survivorship for the bucks post rut and this should translate into a productive year next year.
During the last 30 years my whitetail hunting has been limited to a few days a year so I was very excited to take this really nice buck this year…Toni
Jackson and the “V” Buck
Our good friend Tom came up to hunt with us and brought his daughter Kayla, an avid, talented and keen hunter. She was able to harvest her first whitetail with us. Congratulations Kayla!
Kyle and his local moose. Freezer is full for another year.

HERE WE GO !/CALVING SEASON 2020
We started calving March 3, 2020 and as the pictures show we are still experiencing winter. Another long winter in our part of the world. Still using sleighs and the “snowmobile ambulance” to transport calves in to warm up.
January/2020
YIKES!
In fahrenheit these temperatures are -18F to -35F and the coldest at -38F to -55F.
We experienced a week of these temperatures but as of the middle of January we are back to normal.

2019 was an exciting season with lots of action. Whitetail deer numbers in our area are on the rise resulting in great opportunities for our clients.
2018 UPDATE
Our clients had a very successful season this year. Weather was unseasonably warm, and the rut was “soft” but we managed to guide our clients to some impressive deer. We will be at SCI Reno in 2019 in and around Booth 474. Please feel free to stop by and say hello. Here are some 2018 highlights:

Our version of winter deer management. It has been a great winter for the deer….. very little snow and we have taken out many predators this winter.
Some winter fun in the New Year with a good friend Gordon Burton and son Kyle. This was Kyle’s first cougar hunt. This cat tips the scale at 184 pounds with an empty stomach. We had a great chase. The cat ground bayed several times before treeing. Great training for our pup.
